LOCALIZED AND A/B VERSIONS
The same campaign in another language, and in variants worth testing.
A campaign that works in English does not automatically work in Hindi, and a test that changes three things at once teaches nothing. This is the version layer: the same production rebuilt per language and per variable, so a new market can be entered without a reshoot and a test can actually be read when it finishes.
Localising is rewriting, not translating. A hook that lands in English often has no equivalent construction in Hindi, so the line gets rebuilt for the target language, the voiceover re-recorded, the on-screen typography set properly in the right script, and the edit re-timed because languages do not run to the same length.
On the A/B side I build variants that change one thing — the hook, the voice, the end card, the price on screen — and hand over a map saying which file tests which idea. I do not read the results or own the reporting. My job is to make sure the result, whatever it turns out to be, means something.

WHAT I DO
- Language versions — on-screen text, voiceover and captions rebuilt per language, with Devanagari and Latin typography set properly instead of pasted in at the same size.
- Voiceover rebuilds per language, directed for pace and stress, plus an honest recommendation when a human voice artist is the better call.
- Offer and price variants — the same cut with a different claim, number or end card, so a pricing test does not need a new film.
- A/B sets built one variable at a time: hook, voice, end card or opening frame, never two changes stacked in one file.
- A variant map naming exactly which file changes which variable against the control, so a winner can be attributed to a cause.
- SRT subtitle files alongside burned-in captions, for placements and viewers that need them.
HOW I WORK
- 01
MATRIX
Decide what is being tested and in which markets, then delete the variants that would change two things at once.
- 02
ADAPT
The script is rewritten for the target language rather than translated, because the hook has to land in that language, not in English with new words.
- 03
REBUILD
Each version is rebuilt from the master: new voice, new on-screen text, and a re-timed edit where the language runs long or short.
- 04
REVIEW
A native speaker checks every localised cut before handover, and the variant map ships with the files so nothing is tested blind.
BEST FOR
- Indian brands running the same campaign in English, Hindi and one regional language.
- Brands testing a price, an offer or a claim who need the creative held constant around it.
- Live campaigns where the creative is working and language is the only barrier left.
- Buyers who want a variant set they can attribute, not five files that all differ in four ways.
NOT THIS
- Not market-entry strategy. Deciding which market to enter, how to position there and what the offer should be is Brand Solutions work, not a version pass on existing creative.
- Not statistical analysis. I do not run the test, read significance or own the reporting — I build variants clean enough to be read and hand over the map that explains them.
- Not ratio packaging. Getting one version into every aspect ratio is the campaign package page; this page is about what changes inside the frame.
